THE Philippine National Police (PNP) is awaiting the issuance of detailed guidelines on the use of village health passes for unvaccinated passengers.
“This is an effective system in determining if going outdoor is backed by justifiable cause particularly to buy essential goods or avail of essential services,” PNP Chief Police General Dionardo Carlos said.
Carlos believes that clear instruction in the implementation will be helpful to avoid confusion and resistance from the affected residents.
“We have received reports about the proliferation of fake vaccination cards since the launch of the ‘no vaccination, no ride’ policy of the Department of Transportation (DOTr). Now, the possibility of producing fake health passes is never remote, so we need to be specific with the inspection and verification process,” Carlos said.
