TWO drug suspects, both under the PNP watchlist were arrested in a police operation early this morning in Lapu-Lapu City.
PNP Officer-in-Charge, Police Lieutenant General Vicente D Danao Jr identified the two arrested high value drug individuals (HVI) as Eric Bacalso , 46 and Neil James Plaza Vallesquina, alias “Bolantoy”, 28.
The suspects were arrested in a drug-bust operation conducted by City Drug Enforcement Unit and City Intelligence Unit, Lapu-Lapu City Police Office (LCPO) together with the personnel of Regional Intelligence Division (RID) 7, Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) 7, NISG7, PDEG-SOU7; PDEA7, HPG7, PCG7, and 208TH Tactical Helicopter Squadron-PAF.
Recovered from the suspects’ possession were shabu with an estimated weight of 15,000 grams and Standard Drug Price of PhP102,000,000.00, one sack bag, one backpack, two paper bags, one cellphone, one ID card, and buy-bust money.
“I congratulate our drug enforcement operatives for another big accomplishment. This only signifies that our PNP operations will be more aggressive on illegal drugs, especially against high-value personalities and syndicates. Your PNP will not stop until the last person in the drug list is put to jail”, Danao said.
The arrested suspects are now under the custody of the police and a case for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2020 is being prepared against the two suspects.
