
TAAL Volcano experienced a minor phreatic eruption at its summit crater today, October 13, 2025, at 11:42 AM. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS-DOST) reported that the event generated plumes that rose 900 meters above the crater, as captured by the Main Crater IP Camera.
Time-lapse footage of the eruption has been released by PHIVOLCS.
Despite the eruption, Alert Level 1 remains in effect for Taal Volcano. PHIVOLCS continues to closely monitor the volcano’s activity and advises the public to remain vigilant and follow all safety guidelines. Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
