Starlink units arrive in Marawi City to boost education

admin June 23, 2025

PRESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s donation of Starlink internet units to support education in Marawi City has arrived. On Monday, June 23, 2025, the units were delivered to temporary learning spaces, significantly enhancing internet access for students and teachers.

This initiative is a key component of the administration’s broader plan to expand internet connectivity in remote areas, bridging the digital divide and improving educational opportunities for students in underserved communities. The arrival of the Starlink units marks a significant step towards achieving this goal.

In addition to the units provided for the temporary learning spaces, President Marcos has also committed to providing individual Starlink units to Bangon Elementary School, Bacarat National High School, Angoyao National High School, and Cabasaran Primary School.

President Marcos is scheduled to visit Marawi City to oversee a series of events, including inspections of various facilities focusing on education, healthcare, and transportation. His presence underscores the administration’s commitment to the ongoing recovery and development of the city, prioritizing investments in crucial infrastructure and services to improve the lives of its residents.
