HOUSE Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez together with Tingog Party-list Rep. Jude A. Acidre led the launching of Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) in Visayas State University in Tolosa, Leyte on Sept. 23-24.
The organizers have already recorded 57,345 participants in Tolosa, Leyte; 87,158 from Laoag, Ilocos Norte; 74,539 in Monkayo, Davao de Oro; and 103,647 in Nabua, Camarines Sur as of Sunday morning.
Co-organzied by the Office of the President, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) and the House of Representatives, the two-day event aimed to bring government services closer to Filipino people.
Considered as the largest service caravan in the Philippines, the BPSF offered some of the major services such as free legal assistance and counseling, DFA passport application, LTOPF, LTO, NBI, police clearance, SSS, GSIS UMID, postal ID, national ID applications, Pag-ibig membership and housing loan.
Enrollment in Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa ating Disadvantaged/Displaced (TUPAD) workers and Government Internship Program (GIP) were also available during the caravan, as well as the Tulong Dunong Program, TESDA scholarships, financial and educational assistance programs. They also provided free Philhealth consultation and registration, PRC renewal, PSA birth certificate application, public service trainings, Kadiwa stores and distribution of rice sacks, fingerlings and farm machineries.
The BPSF was simultaneously launched in Monkayo, Davao de Oro, Laoag City, Ilocos Norte and Nabua Camarines Sur.
According to the organizers, they are set to bring the Serbisyo Fair to the 82 more provinces in the country in the coming months.
