CALAMBA, Laguna – Eight police officers have been arrested and six others are being sought in connection with the alleged robbery and rape of a Grade 9 student in Bacoor, Cavite, which reportedly occurred on Saturday morning.
The suspects were apprehended in a follow-up operation conducted inside Camp Vicente Lim in Calamba, Laguna, early Sunday morning.
According to initial police reports, the victim was also raped. The suspects are allegedly operatives of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group-Special Operations Unit CALABARZON.
Police are continuing their investigation and search for the remaining suspects.
