Early in the coming year, PhotoWorld 2025 opens with a bang, with new event highlights and features. Running from January 30 to February 2 at the Ayala Glorietta Activity Center in Makati, there is something in store for everyone visiting the Philippines’ foremost photography summit and showcase. This time around, organizers aim to capture the enthusiasm of photography “newbies”, in addition to the multitudes of professionals who have made the event an annual red-letter weekend.
Themed “Fusion”, the coming photography extravaganza will now include the latest in video and AI (artificial intelligence) as well — the 2 visual formats being all but inseparable nowadays. Due to the fact that all modern phones have these 2 features, the potential to create more visual media professionals is greater than ever before.
Here are new highlights that are all free and open to the public PhotoWorld 2025: 1. Interactive Displays and Quickstart Tutorials On the Spot 2. Vlogger Tutorials 3. An Urban PhotoSafari and Street Photography Photowalk 4. The Latest Global Photo and Video Developments One visit to PhotoWorld will have you leaving with fresh pro moves and better ways to capture the human condition and beauty all around us.
Pavilions with the latest gear from Canon, Nikon, FujiFilm, Sony and other leading photography suppliers form a large part of the event, as they traditionally have as well. Simultaneously, if you are ready to level up to optimal photo professionalism, masterclasses by the best photographers of our time include the likes of: 1. Ezra Acayan – Getty Images’ 2024, 2022, and 2020 News Photographer of the Year (Asia-Pacific) 2. Don Davies – A Leading Portrait Photographer and FujiFilm Brand Ambassador 3. Antonni Cuesta – Leica Representative and Professional Photography Instructor 4. Albert Lee – Award-winning Travel Photographer, Photographic Society of America Member 5. Edwin Bacasmas – Award-winning Photojournalist, formerly with the Philippines’ #1 Paper, Inquirer.
These will be held at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) along Paseo de Roxas, also nearby to the main exhibition venue at Glorietta. Activities at AIM require registration and a nominal fee. To participate in these activities, you may register with the event organizer, Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF) via https://fppf-manila.org/pw2025-registration.html .
FPPF is an organization engaged in the advancement and development of photography in the Philippines. Regular photography lectures and classes are also available at their head office in Intramuros, Manila, periodically.
