Jessica Sanchez
JESSICA Sanchez has emerged victorious as the winner of “America’s Got Talent” Season 20! The announcement was made during the final stage of the talent competition held on September 25 (Philippine time).
During the finals night, the pregnant Filipina singer delivered a powerful performance of JVKE’s “Golden Hour,” accompanied by aerial dancers Sirca Marea.
Sanchez’s journey to the top began in July when she returned to the talent show and earned a golden buzzer from Sofia Vergara after singing Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things.” The golden buzzer propelled the soon-to-be mom to the quarter-finals, where she delivered an emotional performance of Alex Warren’s “Ordinary,” securing her spot in the semi-finals.
At the semi-finals round, she captivated the audience with her rendition of “Golden Hour” by JVKE, earning praise from the judges, including Sofia Vergara.
Public voting propelled Jessica to the finals, alongside five other finalists, where she received a standing ovation for her performance of Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga’s song “Die With A Smile.”
This marks a significant achievement for Sanchez, who first appeared on “America’s Got Talent” at the age of 10, reaching the semi-finals. She later rose to fame as the runner-up in “American Idol” Season 11. Sanchez recently released the single “Two Lines” about her pregnancy and won the competition in her ninth month of pregnancy.
