IN line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to recognize and honor the contributions of education sector workers, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and the Department of Education (DepEd) have announced the release of the 2023 Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) for qualified teaching and non-teaching personnel.
Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary and Press Officer Claire Castro said that from 45.5 percent and 48.75 percent in 2021 and 2022, respectively, the 2023 PBB under the new system shall be equivalent to 52 percent of the monthly basic salary of DepEd teaching and non-teaching personnel who achieve a total assessment score of 80 points.
Ang 2023 Performance-Based Bonus na ito ay mas mataas kumpara sa 45.5% at 48.75% noong 2021 at 2022,” Castro said during a Palace press briefing on Wednesday.
Castro emphasized that the 2023 PBB reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to upholding the dignity and welfare of education personnel.
