THE Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is organizing a series of nationwide job fairs across 49 sites on June 12th, Philippine Independence Day.
This initiative aims to connect job seekers with numerous employment opportunities, with over 800 employers from diverse sectors participating.
A total of at least 72,000 job vacancies will be available across various industries including manufacturing, retail, business process outsourcing (BPO), accommodation, and financial/insurance services. The job fairs represent a significant effort to address unemployment and provide Filipinos with access to potential employment.
Among the most sought-after positions are production operators, sales clerks, call center representatives, service crew members, and microfinance officers.
These roles reflect the current demands of the Philippine job market and offer a range of opportunities for individuals with varying skills and experience levels.
The DOLE encourages all job seekers to actively participate in these job fairs, emphasizing the significant number of vacancies available. This initiative showcases the government’s commitment to providing employment opportunities and supporting the country’s economic growth.
To facilitate access to these opportunities, DOLE is directing job seekers to its online job matching portal, PhilJobs, where a complete list of available vacancies is accessible.
Assistant Secretary Patrick Patriwirawan Jr., head of the DOLE Bureau of Local Employment, urges Filipinos to utilize this platform and encourages fresh graduates to take advantage of free access to pre-employment documents.
He also advises individuals to contact their nearest Public Employment Services Office (PESO) or DOLE regional/field offices for detailed information on participating employers, specific job roles, and the locations of the job fairs.
This multi-pronged approach aims to maximize outreach and ensure that job seekers have the information they need to find suitable employment.
