ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Erwin Tulfo assured that he would step down as a Senator if he does not accomplish or prove anything within three years, should he win in the upcoming election.
He made this statement during the filing of his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) on Sunday afternoon at the Manila Hotel Tent.
“If I haven’t done anything from 2025 to 2028, then I will step down,” the lawmaker said.
The Congressman also mentioned joining the Lakas CMD Party because he sees a similar goal in helping the poor and oppressed.
Tulfo also laid out his platform, prioritizing laws for the middle class. He emphasized the need to listen to their concerns, such as wage increases, additional benefits, and retirement benefits for those in the private sector.
Tulfo is one of the frontrunners in pre-election surveys and is part of the administration slate of Bagong Alyansang Pilipinas.
Regarding the issue of anti-political dynasty, Tulfo stated that it is up to the people, and they are willing to comply if there are laws related to this.
