THE egal counsel for Curlee and Sarah Discaya, Atty. Cornelio Samaniego III, stated in a press conference that the contractor couple remains in the Philippines and has no intention of fleeing the country amid an ongoing investigation into alleged anomalies in flood control projects.
“Definitely, they are still here. They were even happy yesterday, very sweet with each other,” Samaniego said. “You can be assured, they will not run.”
The Discayas are currently under investigation for their alleged involvement in irregularities related to flood control projects across the country.
Their lawyer’s statement aims to dispel any rumors or concerns that the couple may attempt to leave the Philippines to avoid the investigation.
