Palace affirms respect for impeachment process against Marcos

MALACANANG Palace has issued a statement affirming its respect for the impeachment process initiated against President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. The Palace emphasized that the President remains confident that he has not committed any impeachable offense.

The statement comes in response to the filing of impeachment complaints against the President in the House of Representatives. While acknowledging the seriousness of the matter, the Palace reiterated its commitment to upholding the rule of law and allowing the impeachment process to proceed without interference.

The Palace expressed trust in the integrity of the members of Congress to carefully consider the merits of the complaints and render a fair and impartial decision. It also called on the public to remain calm and allow the process to unfold according to established procedures.

The Palace assured the nation that President Marcos Jr. remains focused on addressing the pressing issues facing the country and fulfilling his mandate to serve the Filipino people. The administration is committed to transparency and accountability, and is prepared to cooperate fully with any investigation related to the impeachment complaints.
