THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) is fully prepared for the influx of candidates filing their Certificate of Candidacy (COC) and Certificate of Nomination and Certificate of Acceptance of Nomination (CON-CAN) in the remaining two days of the COC filing.
According to Comelec, they have added seats in the reception area up to the access ramp for persons with disabilities at the Manila Hotel Tent City. Comelec Chair George Erwin Garcia admitted that they were delayed in setting up some necessary facilities that they addressed in the last two days.
Garcia also apologized for some aspirants who did not follow the designated time to speak after submitting their documents.
Garcia emphasized that their staff did not fall short in reminding about the rules.
Nevertheless, the commission will still implement its guidelines to listen to aspirants who want to introduce themselves to the public.
