AKBAYAN Representative Chel Diokno released a statement expressing strong dissent regarding the Supreme Court’s decision to dismiss the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte.
Diokno asserted that the ruling represents a setback for accountability and the people’s right to demand transparency from their leaders.
He emphasized that the impeachment process adhered to constitutional requirements: the complaint was properly verified, endorsed by more than one-third of the House, and focused on a single set of charges against the Vice President.
