A MAGNITUDE 4.7 earthquake jolted Masinloc, Zambales on Thursday noon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The earthquake, which was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 022 kilometers, occurred at 12:21 p.m.
It was recorded at 15.61°N, 120.07°E – 014 km N 55° east of Masinloc, Zambales and was felt in some parts of Metro Manila.
Phivolcs said intensities were recorded in the following areas:
- Intensity IV – City of Alaminos and Binalonan, Pangasinan; City of San Fernando, Pampanga;
- Intensity III – Mandaluyong, Quezon City, Taguig in NCR; Infanta, Aguilar, and Villasis, Pangasinan;
- Intensity II – Makati City in NCR; Baguio City; Bacnotan, La Union; Bolinao, Calasiao, and Santa Barbara, Pangasinan; Dagupan City; Bocaue, Bulacan; Bamban, Tarlac;
- Intensity I – Malabon, Manila, Marikina, Navotas, Pasay City; Pateros, Metro Manila; Santa Maria, Bulacan
