PERSONNEL from the Manila Police District (MPD), supported by the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) and units from neighboring provinces, have sealed off roads and entry points leading to Malacañang.
The security measure was implemented on Tuesday as authorities reinforced defenses in response to large‑scale protests taking place across different parts of Metro Manila.
To further secure the premises, the Presidential Security Command (PSC) has ordered the closure of the Palace’s main gates and imposed strict access controls.
Only authorized personnel and vehicles with proper identification or clearances are allowed to enter the complex, while all other movements are being closely screened. The restrictions are meant to ensure the safety of the President and everyone inside the Malacañang compound.
Authorities said the heightened security setup will remain in place as long as public assemblies continue. The combined police and security forces are also coordinating closely to monitor developments, prevent any untoward incidents, and maintain order in the vicinity, balancing the right to peaceful protest with the need to protect critical government facilities and officials.
