A MANDALUYONG nonagenarian receives P10k cash from Luisito Espinosa, city head of Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) under the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Lina Galabin, OSCA president of Barangay Mauway.
The P10,000 is part of the cash gift being distributed to senior citizens who reached 90 years old and above under the Republic Act 10868 or the Centenarian Act of 2016 which provides cash gift amounting to P100,000 to Filipino Centenarian.
Centenarian Act was a widely-celebrated law, manifesting that the State accords due respect, appreciation and importance to citizens who reached the age of one hundred.
Filomena Albos Joquico, 94, widow, of Mandaluyong City, thanked Espinosa and Galabin for the speedy release of the cash gift.
