MEMBERS of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) began gathering at Luneta in Manila on Sunday morning, November 16, 2025, to participate in a three-day rally calling for a “proper and transparent” investigation into the billion-peso flood control controversy.
The INC’s action highlights the growing public concern over the alleged irregularities in the government’s flood control projects.
The size of the crowd, as of late Sunday morning, was described by lawyer Emil Marañon III as “smaller and less compact” than the INC’s rally on January 13, 2025.
However, Marañon noted that the gathering was “nonetheless bigger” than the Trillion Peso March that took place on September 21, 2025. This suggests a significant level of participation, indicating the importance the INC places on this issue.
The rally is expected to continue for three days, with participants engaging in various activities to raise awareness and demand a thorough and transparent investigation into the flood control controversy.
The INC’s involvement adds a significant voice to the calls for accountability and could potentially influence the direction of the ongoing investigations.
