CAVINTI, Laguna – The Commander of the 202nd Infantry (Unifier) Brigade, Brigadier General Cerilo C Balaoro Jr PA, assumes bigger responsibilities following his promotion to the rank of Brigadier General. Brigadier General Balaoro was accorded with military honors and conferred his one-star rank by no less than Major General Rowen S. Tolentino PA, Commander of the 2nd Infantry (Jungle Fighter) Division at Camp Capinpin, Tanay, Rizal on January 6.
BGen Balaoro extended his heartfelt gratitude to the Commander, 2ID for the honor provided to him and for hosting a fellowship lunch.
“I would like to thank Team Jungle Fighter especially to our boss, MGen Rowen Salanguit Tolentino, for making this milestone in my career a memorable and meaningful one. Rest assured that I will continue with my task as Commander of the 202nd Bde with greater zeal and fervor to accomplish my mission.” He also thanked the local government unit and different stakeholders on their willingness to accept the AFP and PNP as peace partners that has greatly contributed to the outstanding feat of the Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict that highlights the enabling environment aspire towards peace, progress and prosperity.
With the promotion of the 202nd Infantry Brigade Commander, the unit will continue to actively participate in various government’s programs and initiatives towards promoting peace and pursuing development in CALABARZON Region. It can be recalled that on July 16, 2021, BGen Balaoro Jr assumed command of the 202nd Infantry Brigade in Southern Tagalog.
