Cap your cholesterol and blood sugar with Organique Acai Premium Blend

admin January 13, 2022

NEW year, new you!

One of the most common New Year’s resolutions, especially in the pandemic, is to live a healthier lifestyle. From preventing common diseases to improving physical and mental wellness, a healthy body is one ready to face the months ahead.

To do this, we must be mindful of our food and lifestyle choices, particularly regarding our blood sugar and cholesterol, to protect ourselves against health conditions such as diabetes, stroke, and COVID-19.

According to the International Diabetes Foundation, almost 4 million Filipino adults have diabetes.

This is a chronic condition where your body has difficulty producing or using insulin, a hormone used to control your blood sugar or glucose.

This glucose serves as fuel for all the cells in your body! However, too much of this, often a result of diabetes, can damage your blood vessels and have far-reaching impacts on your health. Diabetes can cause and increase your risk for numerous health problems, such as kidney failure, heart disease, stroke, and even blindness.

Because this also weakens your immune system, it can also make you vulnerable to COVID-19. Family history and genetic factors can also increase your risk of having diabetes and passing it onto your children.

Another factor important to our wellness is our cholesterol – a substance for building body tissues and digesting food. Just like glucose, it is a vital to our body, but too much of it can be bad for us. Bad cholesterol (LDL), often from eating fatty and sugary foods, can damage arteries and cause heart problems through the buildup of triglycerides, a fat that doesn’t dissolve in our bloodstreams. The decrease of good cholesterol (HDL) caused by excess sugar is also worsened by diabetes, which can lead to declining health.

However, all is not lost. Even as we stay at home, we can still improve our health through keeping our bodies moving through yoga or walking. We must also make sure to increase our intake of unprocessed, nutritious foods and beverages!

Foods high in protein, such as fish (salmon and sardines) can strengthen the cells in your blood vessels and improve your heart health. Green leafy vegetables and fruits such as avocadoes and berries like the acai berry—are also full of vitamins and low in calories. Take some time to relax as well through meditation and mindfulness activities. A healthy lifestyle will provide you with all the energy and strength you need, and keep other illnesses like COVID-19 away.

To help boost your immune system this new year, drink superfood, all-natural Organique Acai Premium Blend! You can make a refreshing smoothie with it before breakfast, as it is high in antioxidants and can help lower your blood sugar and bad cholesterol.
