Domagoso signed on Thursday, January 13, Executive Order No. 07 declaring the health break in all levels in the City of Manila.
According to Domagoso, this is to give both the students and teachers a breathing space amid the COVID-19 pandemic and the threat of omicron variant.
“The City of Manila is declaring no classes all levels, private and public school. This will be called a health break in the City of Manila,” Domagoso said.
“So mayroon kayong one week na makapagpahinga and hopefully maka-recover yung mga estudyante nating infected and yung pamilya ng estudyante at yung magulang nila na infected rin; yung teacher na infected, at yung pamilya ng teacher,” he added.https://metrosundaily.com/online and physical classes.
Under Executive Order No. 07, the city wide health break will be from January 14 until January 21, for both online and physical classes.
Domagoso underscored the importance of addressing the increasing anxiety of the public while also attending to the general health of its students and teachers.
“Mataas po ang anxiety level ng mga magulang para sa kanilang mga anak, at ganoon rin yun anxiety level ng mga guro. Kaya ito ay ang pagtugon sa inyong sitwasyon ng pamahalang lungsod ng Maynila,” Domagoso said.
