admin November 6, 2021

THE Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) said some movie theaters within and outside Metro Manila will resume operations on Nov. 10.

The regulatory body made the announcement after the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) de-escalated the National Capital Region (NCR) to Alert level 2 from Alert level 3 effective Friday.

“The undersigned wishes to inform the public that various Cinemas/Movie theaters situated within and outside Metro Manila will finally re-open its doors to moviegoers on 10 November 2021, following the downtrend in coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases,” said MTRCB Executive Director and Spokesperson Jose Benjamin A. With this, the regulatory body reminded moviegoers to continue observing strict minimum public health standards “while keeping in mind the MTRCB film ratings as guide when choosing age-appropriate film content.”

“In closing, the MTRCB affirms its policy of respect and deterrence to government instrumentalities operating within the framework of their mandates as dictated by law,” Benaldo said.
