MOTORISTS should prepare for a price increase in fuel products beginning Tuesday, July 15, 2025, following announcements from several oil companies of price hikes effective that day.
This marks an end to two consecutive weeks of price rollbacks. Seaoil Philippines Corp. and Shell Pilipinas Corp. will increase gasoline prices by ₱0.70 per liter, diesel by ₱1.40 per liter, and kerosene by ₱0.80 per liter.
Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz will implement similar increases, excluding kerosene. Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), which already implemented a smaller price increase on Thursday, July 10, will add further increases of ₱0.35 per liter for gasoline, ₱0.70 for diesel, and ₱0.50 for kerosene.
The price adjustments reflect changes in the global oil market and will likely impact transportation costs and overall consumer prices.
The price increases announced by major oil companies will undoubtedly impact consumers and businesses across the country.
The magnitude of the increases varies slightly between companies, but the overall trend indicates a significant upward adjustment in fuel prices.
This change follows a period of price reductions, potentially leading to a noticeable shift in transportation costs and the prices of goods and services. Consumers are advised to budget accordingly and anticipate the impact of these price increases on their daily expenses. T
he price adjustments highlight the volatility of the global oil market and its direct impact on the Philippine economy.
