A TOTAL of 299 Filipinos affected by the escalating tensions in the Middle East safely returned home today, March 05, 2026 and now being assisted by the Philippine government as directed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
The group arrived at the NAIA Terminal 3 in Pasay City from Dubai via Emirates Airlines Flight 336.
Among them were 23 OFWs and two (2) OFW children. Some are returning to the Philippines for their safety and security as advised by their employers, some are OFWs who finished their contract, and some are returning home for good and personal reasons.
A whole-of-government team led by Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac welcomed the returnees, who were assured of all the necessary assistance and support from the government.
“Sa ngalan ng ating Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr, welcome home po. We are thankful that you are all safe. Also, we are much thankful sa Emirates, sa UAE government sa pag aalaga sa inyo, sa pag prepare ng flight to Manila as we provide support,” said Secretary Cacdac.
The returnees were provided with immediate financial assistance from the DMW AKSYON Fund, accommodation and transport services from OWWA, medical assistance from the DOH, psychosocial support from the DSWD
