TINGOG Partylist expresses its sincere gratitude to Education Secretary Edgardo “Sonny” Angara for the timely and decisive implementation of the Expanded Career Progression for Public School Teachers Act, a landmark reform that addresses long-standing delays and structural gaps in the promotion system of public school teachers.
The Expanded Career Progression law is the result of sustained legislative work in the House of Representatives led by TINGOG Party-list, which authored and consistently championed the passage of the measure from filing to final approval. Its passage marked a major legislative milestone in strengthening the teaching profession and improving morale within the public education system.
With the Department of Education announcing that more than 16,000 teachers have already been promoted, and thousands more applications currently being processed, the law is now delivering tangible outcomes for teachers across the country.

It should be predictable, transparent, and anchored on merit. We commend Secretary Angara for ensuring that the law is translated into real gains for our teachers.”
The Expanded Career Progression for Public School Teachers Act establishes multiple career tracks, accelerates promotion timelines, and sets clear standards for advancement, addressing structural challenges that have persisted in the public education system for decades.
