TWO male Grade 7 students are in critical condition after being struck by a large piece of concrete that fell from a building located at the corner of Roces Avenue and Tomas Morato in Quezon City on Tuesday afternoon, August 12, 2025, according to Barangay Laging Handa officials.
The incident occurred unexpectedly, leaving the students with severe injuries.
Emergency responders were immediately dispatched to the scene, and the injured students were rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the concrete detachment and assessing the structural integrity of the building to prevent further incidents. The incident has raised concerns about building safety and maintenance in the area.
