FOUR rising young leaders in the House of Representatives—Reps. Andrew Julian K. Romualdez (Tingog Party-list), Javier Miguel L. Benitez (Negros Occidental), Ryan S. Recto (Batangas), and Brian Poe-Llamanzares (FPJ Panday Bayanihan Party-list)—met for a working lunch on Wednesday to discuss policymaking, public service, and good governance.
The first-term lawmakers shared insights gained from their participation in the ongoing Executive Course on Legislation, focusing on how to align their legislative priorities with the national development goals of the Marcos administration. The meeting also served as an opportunity to explore potential collaborations on key policy reforms, district development initiatives, and accountability measures for the next three years.
The four representatives are part of the second group of participants in the three-day Executive Course on Legislation.
This program, a collaboration between the House of Representatives and the Center for Policy and Executive Development (CPED) of the University of the Philippines – National College of Public Administration and Governance (UP-NCPAG), is designed to enhance the legislative capabilities of newly elected members of the 20th Congress.
The course aims to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively perform their legislative duties and contribute meaningfully to national development.
