PHILIPPINE National Police Chief, Police General Dionardo Carlos announced the release of P3,186,842,930.22 funds to pay for the Performance-Based Bonus (PBB FY 2019) of 201,398 PNP personnel.
In a report to the PNP Chief, PNP Finance Service Director, Police Brigadier Genral Jose Melencio Nartatez said, “the Performance – Based Bonus 2019 has been credited to the individual payroll accounts of PNP personnel with the Landbank of the Philippines on Friday, February 4, 2022”.
The grant of the PBB FY 2019 is subject to the guidelines in reference to Fiscal Directive No. 2022 – 01 entitled, “Grant of Performance-Based Bonus for FY 2019 to Eligible PNP Personnel” to implement such benefit for all qualified PNP uniformed and Non-uniformed personnel.
Further, the release of PBB 2019 to individual personnel, like other bonuses, is subject to eight percent (8%) tax pursuant to DBM Circular 2019 – 01 under Executive Order No. 80, series(s) 2012 and Executive Order No. 201, s. 2016 dated September 3, 2019.
Moreover, those personnel who were found guilty of administrative and/or criminal cases by final and executory judgement in FY 2019, shall not be entitled to PBB.
