THE Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said starting 06 November 2022, students may continue to avail of the 20% discount on the rail line.
Students shall present school ID or proof of enrollment at the Passenger Assistance Office or at ticket booth.
Meanwhile, more than 1.5 million students availed the LRT-2 Libreng Sakay Program—providing much needed transport relief for students commuting to/from school!
From 22 August to 03 November 2022, the LRTA recorded a total of 1,563,153 students who availed of the free rides.
The program, originally intended to help students and their parents who were affected by the pandemic and the rising prices of fuel and other commodities, ends 05 November 2022.
The program was highly appreciated during the gradual phase-in of face-to-face classes in the first quarter of the current school year.
