VLOGGER Jam Magno turned herself over to the police in Butuan City after a warrant was issued for her arrest in relation to a charge for psychological violence.
The social media personality, whose full name is Jessica Ann Magno, said she posted P72,000 bail in the case after surrendering to the law enforcers.
Magno, in an orange shirt, also had her mug shot taken. She posted it on Facebook.
“I smiled because I am NOT guilty,” she said in her post on Tuesday.
The arrest warrant against her was reportedly issued by Judge Ali Joseph Ryan Chiong Lloren of Branch 37 of the Regional Trial Court of Cagayan de Oro City.
Magno was charged with psychological violence as defined under the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act.
Magno thanked the police and barangay official who assisted her as she surrendered and posted bail, and claimed that she loved the experience.
“Thank you to the Butuan City Police Station 4 for the wonderful experience today. I actually loved it! Hahahahaha! And to Barangay Ampayon’s New Barangay Captain Kim Acalayen for the fast process of my Bail Requirements,” she said.
Magno became known online during the term of President Rodrigo Duterte because she consistently defended him and his policies as these were subjected to intense criticism.
Meanwhile, Magno corrected reports that she was arrested, stating that she turned herself in because she was “not guilty.”
“Have you ever seen a mugshot that’s much prettier than mine? […] Funny that people said I was arrested. Correction. I surrendered and posted my 72,000 peso bail and did NOT ask for a discount, and I was escorted by an entire TEAM of Butuan’s BEST,” Magno wrote in a Facebook post on Tuesday evening.
