SENATOR Raffy Tulfo urges the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to immediately submit its assessment and evaluation report against the integrity and trustworthiness of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office lotto games.
During Monday’s hearing, September 23, 2024, of the Subcommittee on Games and Amusement hearing, Tulfo continued the discussion on Senate Resolution No. 253, an inquiry on the integrity and trustworthiness of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Lotto Games, and SRN 466 investigating the status of the prize fund tax remitted by the PCSO to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
“During the last hearing, we suspended on the topic questioning the integrity of the PCSO and then I requested the DICT to conduct an evaluation and assessment regarding the integrity of the PCSO lotto games,” Tulfo said.
“There were many speculations and many people said that the PCSO games have been involved in many frauds. Those who win are planted and it is easy to corrupt the system so it is easy to insert people they want to win,” he added.
