HOUSE Speaker Faustino “Bojie” G. Dy III welcomed the Ateneo de Manila Grade School (AGS) Baseball Varsity Team (8U Pinto Division) during a courtesy visit at the House of Representatives as the young champions prepare to represent the Philippines in the upcoming PONY International Pinto 8U Baseball Classic to be held in Illinois, USA from July 9 to 12, 2026.
The team earned the honor after a historic championship run in the 29th Philippine TOT Baseball Foundation (PTBF) Metro League School Baseball Tournament, where they swept the double-elimination competition with a perfect 7–0 record.
Speaker Dy expressed support for the team and recognized the dedication of the players, coaches, and families behind the team’s success and growing contribution to Philippine baseball.
Representing the country are Julean Harvey O. Bumatay, Ethan Lucas T. Casabuena, Alonzo Miguel G. Chan, Lucas Gabriel G. Chan, Marcelo Sebastian B. Cruz, Nathanael Thomas R. Guinto, Ethan Gabriel D. Montaner, Theodore Manuel C. Pablico, Alejandro Ma. S. Ponferrada, Ethan Kristoff C. Samaniego, Rus Isaac D. San Diego, Maverick Gregg C. Uy, and Kyle Pele C. Zulueta under coaches Herbert Bonifacio and John Poul De Los Santos.
