Thus, said Senator Risa Hontiveros to suspended Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo as she urged law enforcement agencies to crack down on government officials and personalities with links to Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs) allegedly involved in illegal activities.
“There is a lot that still needs to be done and swiftly,” Hontiveros said during the continuation of the Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality’s inquiry on reported criminal activities within POGO hubs.
The senator slammed Guo for the latter’s disregard of the subpoena and arrest warrant issued by the Senate.
Two of the eight individuals cited for contempt appeared before Monday’s hearing, while Guo and the others remained at large.
