PALAWAN 3rd district Rep. Edward Hagedorn died on Tuesday morning, a post on his official Facebook page said. He was 76.
Hagedorn, who was a six-term mayor of Puerto Princesa City, was described as a “champion for the the environment, tourism, agriculture, and peace and order,”
“His efforts created inclusive spaces for the community and inspired a collective desire for change,” the statement from his page said.
It added that Hagedorn was able to lead with authority yet maintain a warm and welcoming approach, and that his “charisma shines through in every interaction, leaving a lasting impact on those he touches.”
Arrangements for his wake and funeral have not been discussed by the family.
“However, we promise to keep you informed as soon as we finalize the details. In the meantime, please keep Cong[ressman] Ed’s wife and children in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate through this time of sorrow,”
