AS the Ecija police unceasingly goes after illegal drug traders in the Province, more than PHP20Million worth of suspected shabu were seized by police authorities in Cabanatuan City during operation on Wednesday.
PCol Jess Mendez, acting Provincial Director, who immediately went at the crime scene to personally supervise the inventory of seized evidences, said that joint operating team from PPDEU/PIU- NEPPO (Lead unit), CIDG PFU NE, PDEA RO3 NE, Cabanatuan CPS, 1st and 2nd PMFC, RID3 and RDEU 3 conducted Anti-Illegal Drug buy-bust operation under PDEA RO3 at Lakewood Subdivision, Brgy. Sumacab Este, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.
This resulted in the arrest of two notorious female drug peddlers both from Barangay H-2, Dasmarinas, Cavite, and in the seizure of more or less three kilos of suspected shabu amounting to more or less P20,400,000.
Also siezed from the suspects were the buy bust money, one P1,000.00 bill and 19 bundles of P1,000 peso bill used as boodle money, and two cellular phones.
Appropriate charges for Violations of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) is now being prepared against the arrested suspects.

He added that these efforts are in line with the guidance of PBgen Matthew Baccay Regional Director, PRO3 to act with vigilance and be dependable police force towards a strong finish of the current administration.
