THE search for an 18-year-old girl missing since Friday ended with the discovery of her body buried in a vacant lot in Barangay Pawa, Tabaco City.
The discovery followed the surrender of her 20-year-old boyfriend to local authorities late last night. He subsequently confessed to her murder.
According to initial police reports, a heated argument erupted between the couple on Friday, June 20, inside a shanty in Barangay Pawa. The altercation escalated, resulting in the suspect strangling the victim. In an attempt to conceal the crime, the suspect then buried the body in a secluded area of the barangay.
The suspect is currently in police custody, and authorities are conducting a thorough investigation.
