Over 100 Pinoys in Israel displaced by Iranian missile strikes

Metrosundaily June 24, 2025

THE Philippine Embassy in Israel reported on Monday that over 100 Filipino citizens have been displaced from their homes due to Iranian missile strikes.

A total of 127 Filipinos were affected, with 118 having been relocated to temporary shelters and nine currently undergoing processing for resettlement.

The embassy also reported that one Filipino remains in critical condition following major lung surgery, while others have recovered and been discharged from hospitals. Furthermore, 26 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) have voluntarily returned to the Philippines, with an additional 50 scheduled for repatriation. The situation underscores the significant impact of the ongoing conflict on the Filipino community in Israel.

In response to the escalating crisis, the Philippine government has raised the Alert Level 3 for Israel, encouraging voluntary repatriation while simultaneously pursuing diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the conflict.

The government’s actions reflect a commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of Filipino citizens abroad, providing support for those displaced and facilitating the return of those wishing to leave the affected region.

The ongoing situation continues to evolve, with the embassy actively monitoring the situation and providing assistance to affected Filipinos. The number of those seeking repatriation may increase as the conflict continues.
