THE Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) has revised the magnitude of the earthquake that struck near Manay, Davao Oriental at 11:02 a.m. today, Wednesday, January 7, 2026, to magnitude 6.4. The initial report indicated a magnitude of 6.7.

The following intensities were also recorded:
- Intensity V: Manay, Davao Oriental; Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur; Talacogon, Agusan del Sur
- Intensity IV: City of Bislig and Cagwait, Surigao del Sur; Tarragona and Cateel, Davao Oriental
- Intensity III: City of Tandag, Surigao del Sur; Boston and Baganga, Davao Oriental; Claver, Surigao del Norte
- Intensity II: City of Davao; City of General Santos; City of Butuan; City of Baybay, and Palo, Leyte; Hinundayan, San Juan, and San Francisco, Southern Leyte
