THE FPJ Panday Bayanihan Party-List has launched a free livelihood program for Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) in San Carlos City, Pangasinan, aimed at empowering these important healthcare workers.
The program, a partnership between the party-list and iFern franchises, will provide free franchises to BHWs in the city.
The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed by FPJ Panday Bayanihan First Nominee Brian Poe Llamanzares, Marvin Casiño, IFern Presidential Director, and Alegria Almahano, president of the BHW Federation of Pangasinan, at the FPJ Panday Bayanihan Headquarters in Barangay Palaming.
iFern is a company that sells products and engages in network marketing, promoting good health while providing its members the opportunity to earn.
“This program symbolizes our commitment to empowering local health workers,” said Poe.
“The important role played by BHWs during the Covid-19 pandemic cannot be overstated.” Almahano expressed her gratitude for the program, stating that the free franchise will provide BHWs with a sustainable income in addition to their essential work in public health service.
The event was attended by Atty. Wilson Austria and Councilor Lovely Lian Maramba, Pangasinan coordinator of FPJ Panday Bayanihan, as well as presidents of the BHW Federation from different towns in Pangasinan.
