Camp BGen EFIGENIO NAVARRO, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro — The Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, under the leadership of Regional Director PBGen. Jovencio Badua Jr. has achieved remarkable gains in the campaign against criminality during his first month in office, covering the period from October 6 to November 6, 2025, through the effective implementation of the Enhanced A.L.E.R.T.O. (Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement through Responsive and Transformative Organization) strategic framework.
Based on the data from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD), PRO MIMAROPA recorded a significant 52.69% decrease in Focused Crimes, with only 44 incidents this year compared to 93 cases during the same period in 2024.
This notable drop in major crimes demonstrates the effectiveness of intensified police operations, strengthened community engagement, and the strict supervision of police units across the region.
“Among the Eight Focused Crimes, substantial declines were noted across all major categories. Physical injury cases decreased by 82.35%, rape by 70.59%, robbery by 42.86%, theft by 27.78%, and murder by 12.50%.
Likewise, motornapping incidents dropped by 25%, while no carnapping case was recorded during the same period, compared to one case last year,” PBGen Badua said.
Furthermore, PRO MIMAROPA posted a 31.96% reduction in Peace and Order Indicator (POI), with 232 incidents this year compared to 341 last year.
PBGen Badua lauded the efforts of all operating units for their dedication and commitment to duty, emphasizing that these accomplishments mirror the collective adherence to the principles of the Enhanced A.L.E.R.T.O., which serves as the core pillar of effective police service in the region.
“These accomplishments are clear indicators of our men and women’s commitment to provide ‘Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.’ Through Enhanced A.L.E.R.T.O., we are determined to keep MIMAROPA communities safe, secure, and peaceful,” PBGen Badua emphasized.
The MIMAROPA Top Cop further reaffirmed PRO MIMAROPA’s full support to the ‘Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas’ advocacy of the acting Chief PNP, PLTGen Jose Melencio Nartatez, Jr., by promoting a professional, accountable, and service-oriented police organization that the public can rely on.
“We are just beginning. These results prove that our strategies are effective, but our mission continues. We will further strengthen anti-criminality efforts and partnerships, ensuring that every MIMAROPA police upholds integrity, discipline, and excellence — true to the call for a Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas. Dahil dito sa MIMAROPA, ang PULIS nyo, ALERTO!” he remarked.
