Bataan, Limay town top in LSR collections at P2.6B

BATAAN CAPITOL- This first class province and the Industrial town of Limay have topped the Locally Source Revenue collections in the country.

“I am happy to inform you that in the recent recognition by Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) held recently our province led by the Treasurer’s office received the category Stakeholders Recognition Program , National Top Performing Local Government Units in Local Revenue Generation for FY 2020,” said Governor Abet Garcia.

“Ang atin pong lalawigan ay ginawaran ng Department of Finance (DOF) at Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLFG) sa ilalim ng Provincial Awardees, bilang Top 2 Highest Nominal Locally Sourced Revenues na may 1.59 billion LSR collections.

Samantala, nangunguna naman po ang Munisipalidad ng Limay sa Municipal Awardees na may 1.04 billion LSR collections) “Our province was awarded by the DOF and BLFG under Provincial Awardees being Top 2 highesr nominally sourced revenues with P1.59 billion LSR collections.

Meanwhile, Limay town topped in municipal awardees with P1.04 B LSR collections,” pointed out the governor. The provincial treasurer’s office is headed by Alice Reyes Magpantay, an accountant in profession known for her being strict but silent and hardworking. Limay town, hosts to various multi national companies, including Petron Refinery, is under the leadership of Mayor Nelson C David and his son Vice mayor Richie Jason David.

Under the father and son tandem leadership, Limay has turned around, its economy improved dramatically since their assumption as local leaders here. “Dahil dito, taus-puso ko pong pinasasalamatan ang ating mga kababayan sa patuloy ninyong pakikiisa sa layunin ng ating pamahahalaan na mas mapaunlad at mapasigla pa ang ating ekonomiya,”( Owing to this, my hearthfelt gratitude to our provincemates for continually joining as one in the objective of our province to develop our economy) pointed out Gov Garcia.

“Asahan po ninyo na patuloy ang paglulunsad ng ating pamahalaan ng mga programa at proyektong pangkaunlaran upang sama-sama tayong makabangon muli,” Garcia added.
