THREE sisters — all senior citizens — died when fire hit several houses in Taytay, Rizal on Sunday night.
Reports said that the fire started past 9 p.m. in a residential area on Kilometer 36 in Barangay Dolores.
The Bureau of Fire Protection said the blaze quickly spread from one house to two houses.
A relative of the victims said that two of the sisters were able to leave their burning house. However, they went back to get their sibling who had a disability.
Unfortunately, they were all trapped inside the burning house and died.
The BFP said firemen had a difficult time putting out the fire. It again reminded the public to exercise caution to prevent fires.
