A FIRE in a residential area of Barangay Sto. Domingo, Quezon City, tragically claimed the lives of three siblings on Tuesday. The victims, aged 10, seven, and five years old, were found on the second floor of their house, according to the Quezon City Fire District.
The children’s mother, Janine Miñoza, was at the hospital arranging her own mother’s medical examination when the fire broke out. The fire, which reached the third alarm, also affected a three-story house, displacing 33 families in the community.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire. While the initial assessment suggests the children may have died from suffocation, a source indicated that their bodies were charred. Barangay personnel have pledged to provide assistance to the Miñoza family and the other affected residents as they begin to recover from this devastating incident.
