A JOINT operation by the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has resulted in the confiscation of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of P127,219,610 in Palawan. The seized drugs weighed approximately 24,003.7 grams.
“The recovered illegal drugs were immediately secured and will be turned over to the Palawan Provincial Forensic Unit for qualitative and quantitative examination before being forwarded to the PDEA Palawan Office for proper disposition,” the PNP said in a statement.
Authorities are currently investigating the possible source and intended destination of the contraband as part of ongoing operations against transnational drug syndicates. “Every successful operation like this is proof that teamwork works. The PNP will never let up in protecting our coastal borders and keeping our communities safe from the dangers of illegal drugs,” said PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Randulf Tuaño.
