
THE Philippine Navy (PN) demonstrated its operational readiness and commitment to maritime safety by successfully rescuing and towing the disabled fishing vessel FB Moises.
The operation, conducted from August 2nd to 3rd, 2025, involved the coordinated efforts of the Philippine Fleet and Naval Installation Command. Responding to a distress call from the FB Moises’ captain, the PN deployed MPAC BA492 and tugboat YT207 despite challenging weather conditions.
The fishing vessel, carrying 15 crew members, had experienced engine failure while at sea.
The rescue operation culminated on August 3rd with the assistance of MPAC BA488, successfully towing the FB Moises to Calapandayan Fish Port in Subic, Zambales.
All 15 crew members were confirmed safe and received necessary medical attention and support. This successful mission highlights the PN’s capability to respond effectively to maritime emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of Filipino fishermen.
The swift and coordinated response underscores the Navy’s dedication to maintaining maritime security and providing aid to those in distress at sea.
