
THE Department of Health on Monday recorded 2,087 more COVID-19 cases, raising the nationwide tally to 2,805,294 as eight laboratories failed to submit their data.
This new number of cases is the lowest since March 2, 2021 with 2,063 fresh infections.
The Department of Health (DOH) had indicated in its case bulletin that the number of active cases were at 32,077.
Of the number, 64.7% were mild, 5.8% were asymptomatic, 16.09%% were moderate, 9.5% were severe, and 4.0% were in critical condition.
Meanwhile, new COVID-19 fatalities dipped to 91, bringing the total to 44,521 following nine straight days of a three-digit increase in the death toll.
The DOH noted it mistakenly tagged 66 of the newly confirmed deaths as recoveries in earlier bulletins.
The number of survivors, on the other hand, rose to 2,728,696 after 3,510 more patients recovered.
