Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga – A joint operation by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Bureau of Customs (BOC) resulted in the seizure of over 11 kilograms of shabu, with an estimated street value of P75.07 million, at a warehouse in the Clark Freeport Zone on Saturday.
PDEA Director General Isagani Nerez reported that the contraband was discovered at the Federal Express warehouse by personnel of the BOC and the Clark Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group. The illegal drugs originated from Mexico and were declared as an “industrial water chiller” in the suspicious parcel.
Two individuals, identified as Dex and Maca, were arrested in connection with the shipment. Nerez emphasized the importance of inter-agency cooperation in combating international drug trafficking, stating,
“This interdiction success underscores our united front against international drug trafficking. We will remain vigilant in safeguarding our ports and borders to protect Filipino communities from the threat of illegal drugs.”
