
A TOTAL of 4,000 mangrove propagules were planted during the Mangrove planting activity organized by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Station Negros Occidental at Purok Alalahoy, Barangay Banago, Bacolod City on 06 November 2021. The marine environmental protection initiative was made successful through the active participation of the coastal residents, barangay officials, PCG Auxiliary (PCGA), Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) – Negros Occidental, Philippine National Police – Maritime Group (PNP – MG), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), Bacolod Tugboat Services Corporation, Rotary Club, Bacolod City Eagles Club, Kapatiran ng Kabataang Kriminolohiya (KKK) Crime Buster Frasority, and Alpha Kappa Rho (AKP). The mangrove planting activity is one of the sustained efforts of the PCG Station Negros Occidental to build camaraderie with its partner organizations for the protection of the province’s rich marine environment.#DOTrPH#CoastGuardPH#MaritimeSectorWorks
