THE Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) is closely monitoring three low-pressure areas (LPAs) as of 8:00 AM today.
Two of these weather systems are currently within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), while a third LPA remains outside. Pagasa has warned of a significant chance that the two LPAs inside PAR will develop into tropical cyclones in the coming days, with the possibility of the two systems merging.
The agency is closely tracking the development of these weather systems and will issue further updates and warnings as the situation unfolds.
Residents in areas potentially affected are advised to stay informed and monitor weather reports closely. Pagasa urged preparedness measures, especially in areas prone to flooding and landslides, and advised people to follow instructions from local disaster risk reduction and management offices.
